When you live 2 hrs from the nearest big town and 30 minutes away from the next crappiest town, you should prepare for whatever might come your way.  One time, I had a flat tire out in the middle of the pasture road, 20 miles from the house or anything else for that matter, and without a phone.  What did I do?  Well, I had a little one at the time so I knew there was no way I could walk 20 miles with him so we just stayed at the pickup. Luckily, I did have one of those MP3 players and was able to sing and dance about like an idiot for 3hrs until my husband finally drove up to rescue me.  Needless to say, we got a cell phone and I don’t have to worry about that again.  Before you ask, NO, I didn’t have a spare:(
